BigPay users will be able to apply for their travel insurance, BigPay TravelEasy, within the app starting today with the application process taking just minutes.
The new comprehensive travel insurance product is underwritten by Tune Protect Malaysia and made possible through a collaboration with Senang.io, an insurtech partner of BigPay.
BigPay TravelEasy aims to provide users with quick and convenient access to travel insurance, which covers a range of issues such as accidents, medical emergencies, baggage loss, and travel delays. The insurance plans are available for international travel starting from RM35.
Users can simply open the BigPay app, tap on ‘Explore’, and then select “Insurance”. From there, they can choose “TravelEasy – Individual” and tap on “Get a quote”. The next step is to fill in their travel details, select the desired insurance plan, and proceed to checkout.
The launch of TravelEasy is part of BigPay’s ongoing efforts to enhance its services for travelers. Earlier in the year, BigPay introduced the DuitNow Cross-Border QR Payment, enabling Malaysians to make payments in several Asian countries.
Additionally, in October 2023, BigPay integrated its payment services into the airasia superapp, allowing seamless booking and payment for travel-related services.
