Here’s a monument to William Atkinson Jones in Warsaw, VA, the great congressman from the First District who sponsored the Philippine Autonomy Act:

Next was Christ Church Lancaster County, a truly remarkable, beautiful building built by Robert (King) Carter and completed in 1735:

Note the three-tiered pulpit; clerk’s desk, then a lectern for Bible reading, and a roost for the preacher at the top:
